How Do Blow Molding Machine Work?
Raw Material Preparation:
Usually, PET is used as raw material for preform manufacturing.
Injection Molding:
Raw materials are fed into the injection molding machine. Here, the raw material is heated, melted, and pushed through a screw into the mold to form the initial shape of a preform.
Thermoforming of Preforms:
The preforms enter the thermoforming area of the bottle blowing machine. Here, the preform is heated again to make it soft and moldable.
Mold Assembly and Pre-blowing:
The thermoformed bottle preform is placed in the mold of the bottle blowing machine. After the mold is assembled, a certain amount of compressed air is injected into the bottle preform to expand and partially fill the mold. This process is called For “pre-blowing”.
Blow Blowing:
Subsequently, more high-pressure air is injected into the mold, causing the preform to completely fill the mold and become the desired bottle shape.
Cooling and Solidification:
When the preform becomes the desired shape, the cooling system is started to quickly cool and solidify through cooling air or water circulation.
Mold Separation and Bottle Removal:
Once the plastic is completely cooled and solidified, the mold separates and the finished plastic bottles are removed from the mold and sent to the next processing steps such as labeling, packaging and sorting.

The bottle blowing machine can automatically perform the above operations, and different molds can be replaced according to the required bottle size and shape. This makes it possible to produce plastic bottles of various sizes and shapes.
